Swimming with dolphins during first trimester?
Does anyone know if this is allowed/recommended?? I read various things online, some saying it's perfectly safe, others saying it's not, and a friend of mine said the company won't let you because the dolphins will spend all their time focusing on the pregnant woman and not the other guests.
Anyone have experience with this??

I went on a cruise when I was 9 weeks pregnant with DD#1 and I remember that they said you couldn't go if you were pregnant. It might have changed since then though.

Re: Swimming with dolphins during first trimester?
When they said the dolphins would focus on the pregnant person; would that be because of the round belly or can they sense something (sorry if it sounds like a silly question)!
I swam w/dolphins in Mexico-was not pregnant; but the dolphins never came anywhere near my abdomen. We swam in the water with them and they never bumped into me... But I'm almost 95% certain there was a warning on the tour that it wasn't for pregnant women. But at 9 weeks; would it really cause a risk? I don't know ;probably more for someone further on?

Not a silly question!! Apparently dolphins can "sense the hormones" in pregnant women. So it's a good way to confirm a BFP!! :)

I was told it was not recommended because they can sense more than 1 heart beat. So it makes them a bit weird about it.

Re: Swimming with dolphins during first trimester?
they can actually hear the heartbeat...and i was told that they will become VERY protective of you and not let anyone get close to you!
when i was on vacation they were saying people have found out they were pregnant when they went swimming with dolphins lol but in all seriousness, they didnt want you in there if you knew you were pregnant bc they have had trouble getting women out of the water bc the dolphins bc aggresive towards anyone going near the preggo!!
