My 2 weeks of sheer hell with my ear.....
I had written on here that I had fluid behind my ear- after a sinus infection- well, it did not go away-I went to the ENT was put on antibiotics and steroids- it still did not go away. It was so awful- it felt like a suction cup on my ear with water in it. Last week I went back to the ENT and they had to surgically remove it at the dr's office!!!!! I am healing slowly and go back this week for a follow up. I am so scared to go back- I was in pain all weekend and could not get my ears wet- my hearing is just coming back, but my ear is still swollen. If anyone ever feels this way get right to the ENT- the surgery hurt but it was so worth it. I could just use some get well vibes and hugs....

Feel better! My mom had some bad ear problems recently, and she said it was brutal. She said she'll never take her hearing for granted again. Sounds like you're on the path to getting better.

I've had chronic otis media my whole life, with ear infections when I was a kid. I know what you're going through, and it's enough to give one a panic attack. One time it did for me; I couldn't hear one night, and I was so scared!! I went to the ER, where I was given something to calm me down. I have the utmost of empathy for anyone who suffers from ear issues!!!!  Praying for youe comfort and healing!!!!! Mary

I hope you feel much better! I had a horrible ear infection as a teenager that I "ignored" because we didn't have medical insurance. My ear drum ruptured and I had limited hearing in that ear for years. We should all be aware!

princess, are you still hurting? Daughter, Donna just got over an ear infection. It was so painful, she had to go to the Urgent Care, where she was given Vicodin. She also was on an antibiotic and antibiotic ear drops. Prayers for your total recovery!!!! Mary
