Where did you have DC's 1st Birthday Party? (SUFFOLK)
OK, I am losing my mind trying to figure out a place to have DS 1st Birthday party. There will be @ 45 adults and 15 kids (ages 2-10). I've looked at so many places but just keep going in circles. I don't mind doing a restaurant party, as long as there's a space for the kids to be entertained. Does anyone have the phone # to the VFW hall in KP? Or the American Legion in Smithtown? I am running out of time!
I was thinking Hoyt Farm, but I don't want to chance it with the weather since it'll be in October, and I'm not thrilled with having some of the older guests (70 & 80 YOs) sitting on picnic benches. Otherwise, that would've been PERFECT!!
I'm going to Pomodorino's today to check it out, so if anyone has had a party there, I'd love any feedback! I am about to cry because I've been looking for weeks for a place. Please help!
ETA: Forgot to mention- Looking for Smithtown, Hauppauge, St. James, Huntington, Lake Grove, Nesconset, Commack..... Thanks!

I'm having my son's first birthday at the smithtown american legion on juniper avenue. It's a pretty big room and pretty nice too. It's a full day rental too which I like for decorating and cleaning purposes.

I live in S. Setauker and we had DS' 1st birthday at the VFW in Rocky Point. It was an awesome space and had a pretty decent size kitchen. PLus they let us decorate and bring everything the day before.
ETA...My niece had her sweet 16 at the Polish American club in Port Jeff Station and it was also a great space.

My DS 1st birthday is in October, too. I booked Smithtown Landing Country Club and am going with the brunch menu. The rooms have dance floors, so plenty of room for the little ones to run around and also room for entertainment. HTH!

We just booked the Heritage Center in Mount Sinai and it would definately fit the amount of people you need...I know it is a little farther east than you mentioned but might be worth a look...we had our LO's christening at Old Street Pub in Smithtown and it has a great room that you can have a party and the price is reasonable...good luck!

Try Butterfields in Hauppauge. My friend had her son's christening there and it was really nice. It was a Sunday afternoon party, We had the whole place to ourselves. The food was really good, there was a small dancefloor for the kiddies and it was affordable. I also had a work party there too.

Re: Where did you have DC's 1st Birthday Party? (SUFFOLK)
I'm taking my chances at home (outside) in Sept. But I am looking into the Smithtown Masonic Temple on River Rd. They never answer the phone but they say to contact them through their website. smithtownlodge.org
I also had DS's baptism at Old Street Pub (in the blizzard the day after christmas)- They were great!
Good luck! Let us know what you choose!

Try Ciro's in Hauppauge - it's on 111 by the LIE. They are closed on Sunday, but will open for a party of more than 50. Prices are super reasonable and the food is great! We just had my sisters baby shower there 2 weeks ago and everyone commented on how good it was. Staff was super friendly and attentive too.
