Maybe a stupid question??

I saw some homeless people walking down the street yesterday...and I was wondering...without access to tv, radio etc...do they even know about the hurricane?

I know they have access to shelters, etc, but do they even know about the storm approaching? I seriously thought about stopping to tell them lol


And of course...being an animal lover...I always worry about the animals' safety during storms too

I was wondering about the homeless and animals too. I told DH if we see anyone-human or animal-wandering through the storm, they are coming in our house!

I heard that the subways stations are being swept over and then closed up. All I can think about is the fact that homeless people who live in subway stations aren't going to have heard these news reports. What if the try to hide from the cops because they don't know what's going on? They're going to drowned.

the mayor said yesterday that there are specific shelters for the homeless during the hurricane. there are seperate shelters for homeless families and homeless single adults. i'm sure they've seen the headline of a newspaper on the stand or maybe overheard people talking about it... hopefully.

Im sure by now they've gotten wind (no pun intended) of it. My heart breaks for all the poor animals who definitely have no idea whats about to happen.

I agree....and wandering animals are sticking it out in my basement or garage at least...Id take them in my house, but i have two cats and a dog of my own.

Oh of course people too...lol
