when did you start thinking about having your 2nd baby?

hello everyone. i don't post on here very often but i do have a question. my husband and i have been talking about the idea of another child. DD is almost 20 months and we keep having the convo about when to start for baby #2.

when did you know you were ready for another baby?

I knew when I got my BFP...seriously, I don't think I would have ever said I was ready for #2. To me, there is always something that you need to do or wait for to be completely ready. But the reality is that you may never be 100% "ready," but if you are almost ready, when #2 is on their way, it will force you to be ready.

I always thought I wanted one but right after ds was born I immediately wanted another one. That being said we are not going to start trying until he's 2 years old- so next year.

I'm thinking about it now! We won't though, for at least another 2 years.

DD is 2, I really want to have #2 now but waiting until I finish my school/program...it just makes more sense financially and sanity-wise

I just always knew I wanted two. I had real fears of not being able to ttc #2, family history and had tough time ttc the first time around.

We started ttc at DS 1st bday and now they are 2 years apart.

Honestly, there was no perfect time or ideal moment, I just knew I wanted two.

DD will be 3 in March... we are planning now

DS is 15 months and I am itching for a second. REALLY itching!

When I was PG with DS we said we'll start trying for #2 when he is 1....well DS is quite a handful and turned one is June...lets just say I feel very differently now about #2! There are days I feel ready and then DS will have a bad day and I just think to myself that I couldn't do 2...but then I have days when I think I could. We are holding off for now, but may entertain the idea in a few months.

Pretty much right away--around 3 months after DD#1 was born. I didn't TTC though until she was 11 mos and that's when I got pregnant!

The girls are 20 mos apart and they are 5 and 3.5 years older than their little brother. Both age differences have their plusses and minuses, but both are great!

We waited a while. I had some pretty bad baby blues/borderline PPD and felt like I needed some time to get to a better place emotionally. DH and I were also in grad school and we decided to wait until both of us were finished and had paid some of our grad school debt before we started thinking about it again. So our kids are 4.5 years apart.

When DD was 3. There were a lot of other factors that led us to wait that long such as not having a house. But I always knew I wanted to wait until DD was potty trained before TTC #2.

Was ready the day DD#1 came out of me.
Wanted to wait until she was a year old to start trying.
I am currently about 5 weeks pregnant...DD and this baby will be 22 mos apart.

We decided when DS turned 2 we would start. I was PG the next week.

I wanted to be done by 35 (I'll be 33 when this one is born), and for us, I wanted a 3 year age difference.

When I found out I was pregnant, I realized I was ready. Not something we planned but we are thrilled and it seemed to work out well.

DS will be 2 when baby is born and we are having another brother so we are hoping they will be close.

DS is 22 months and we are just now talking about it. I *think* we may start trying in about 6 months, def not sooner.

We have been TTC since DD was 14 months old.

The moment I laid eyes on my sweet baby boy, I couldn't help but think about what it would be like to have more. When he was about 6 months old I started to get the itch REALLY REALLY badly!!! And it only got stronger every day!! My husband and I had agreed (before our son was born) that we would probably start trying again when he was a year. We started TTC about a week or 2 after his first birthday and were blessed enough to get pregnant on the first try! Our kiddies will be 22 months apart.

DS will be 2 in october and id love to get pregnant now. but it looks like it will be another year at least.

When I saw the word Pregnant on the pregnancy test.

We were talking about waiting until after DD#1 was 2yo...we wanted them to be about 3yrs apart. I got pg unexpectedly when DD#1 was 17 months old. They are just over 2yrs apart.

We started thinking about our 2nd shortly after our 1st was born! I thought that I wanted to start trying for #2 this fall, but now I am starting to think twice about that decision...my DS is 9 months old and I don't think I want to really start trying until next year...won't be suprised if it happens sooner than that being that we are on the "natural family planning" birth control!

Once ds turned a year we started talking about it, we had ds#2 when ds#1 turned 23 months old.

We always wanted 2 within 2-3yrs and then hoped to take a 3-4yr break and have 2 more. At 5 months post partum I was diagnoised with Rheumatoid Arthritis and we decided not to wait and started trying then for #2. The thought was the sooner we have the 2nd we could get me on better meds and 70% of the time you go into remission while pg. It took 9 months to get pg and they will be 23months apart. I was freaked at first, but I think it'll be a good age difference for us.
