small update @ bottom: really trying not to panic...lovenox users-HELP!
Just got off the phone w/ Dr. B and am trying not to cry. He increased my lovenox a week and a half ago b/c the clotting test showed it wasn't enough. We went from 40mg to 80mg daily. He called to tell me just now that my results came back and according to the test my body is not absorbing the lovenox. He's hoping its a lab error but wants me to get it repeated ASAP. Anyone ever have this happen? I'm terified its going to cause a m/c. I can't go thru that again... I don't have it in me.

I'm sorry to hear this.
I have no idea but is there any chance your body might respond to heparin better??

I asked him but he said he wants me to repeat it before he will adjust anything...

I am so sorry you are going through this. I will keep praying for you. I don't know what your faith is but I know for me standing on scripture is the only thing I can do. Excodus 23:26 God promises that none shall be barren nor miscarry that he will give full life span. I keep repeating it to myself everytime I get worried.

Re: really trying not to panic...lovenox users-HELP!
I am not a regular poster on here and I do not know what your current dose of Lovenox is, but I also went to Dr. B and my bloodwork showed that the 40mg was not working for me so he increased my dosage to 40mg two times a day and I am now currently 27 weeks pregnant because of that.
I know I was concerned when my dose was increased, but that is the reason why I am as far pregnant as I am.
Hope this helps..
Good Luck

Re: really trying not to panic...lovenox users-HELP!
Thanks everyone! I went to Dr B's office this morning. They took blood to send to quest for my final beta and a bunch of vials to send to reprosource to make sure my immune testing is ok. I got another prescription to have this test done again, and decided to go to labcorp instead of quest. Hoping its just a lab error. It's going to take 3-5 days to get back. Ok trying to think positive and short term. My beta needs to be above 1,484. hopefully I won't hear from him too late today.... My nerves are already shot for the day.

If it's going to take THAT long to come back...shouldn't he adjust it in the meantime in case it WASN'T an error?

why the heck should it take that long? To me that is unacceptable. maybe he can refer you to an RE that has their own lab

That's what I thought too. I think he's thinking both results could be wrong in which case maybe my blood is too thin... ? Just a guess.

I called a hematologist this morning and was told the results wouldn't be any quicker if I went there.... And they have their own lab but it seems has to send this test out. They have to freeze the blood I think....

try to relax. dr B knows what he does. if he thought there is a danger at this point, he would not tell you to wait and would give you heparin or something else right away. IF he told you to wait for results, it means you are not in danger at this point. Trust dr B, he is the best!

Hang in there. You know you are in great hands and he'd do anything he thought necessary at this point!

Thanks guys.. that's what's worrying me. He already increased me to 80mg (40mg 2x/day) last week,.. and it's still showing my blood is too thick.

Re: small update @ bottom: really trying not to panic...lovenox users-HELP!
He may change you to Heparin. Lovenox and Heparin are about the same but some doctors use Heparin in cycles 2x day. Not sure if there is a major difference but when I used lovenox and cycle didn't work they next cycle they wanted to switch me to heparin.
It will be ok. He knows what he is doing.
