BTDT's Snack/Lunch related (if you send your own)
What have you found works best for drinks? I want to send DS water for snack and watere down juice for lunch. I have those little metal water bottle type things and I have a plastic one too. Maybe those tiny little sports bottle waters will work? Should I freeze it? Will it defrost by his 11:40 lunch time? Snack goes in a brown bag so wont anything cold form condensation and tear thru the bag? Would wrapping a paper towel around it help?
Also I have searched high and low for a container with a divider small enough to use for a snack (like carrots and dip- i don't want to buy the pre-wrapped ones) I'd rather not have to send 2 containers. Has anyone found ones that will fit in a lunch box/bag and if so where?
Thanks ladies! I think i'm starting to freak out a little. DS is such a horrible eater, aside from that i'm good with him going to Kindergarten, actually super excited for him.

For us.. I need disposable. I've been through way too many thermos bottles, containers, etc..
I send them in with pint bottles of water usually - they like it. Sometimes they get juice boxes and sometimes chocolate milk boxes. I freeze them the night before and take them out when I get up at 6am.. they are thawed and chilled by the time they use them.

I also use disposable water and juice boxes. I tried using the metal reusable ones, and then ended up leaking. The kids don't always seal them up as well as we do after they take a drink, and then they go back in the bag to leak all over everything. We actually got a letter home from the teacher last year requesting disposable, because drinks were leaking in the cubbies and attracting bugs.
As far as containers, can you get a small cup (like a tupperware midget container) that will fit inside a bigger container? Pack one inside the other if you can't find 2 that snap together?

we were lucky, last year we paid for milk service. So the school brought him milk for his snack - so easy!
This year I will do water or watered down juice (juice box if I'm really pressed for time)
The do make individual dip packets. We get them from Target.
