First Day of School - how did we do?

DD got up this morning and said she didn't want to go to school but after a few minutes and once she saw her new dress she cheered up and off she went. She was a little quiet but thats how she is in a new situation anyway...hugged me goodbye and off I went - in FLOODS of tears I thought I had gotten it out of my system with my late night crying sessions the last two nights but when I hugged her goodbye and knew I wouldn't see her until 1pm today it was too much. I was the only mom there crying....such a sap.

Watching the clock until I can go and pick her up.

So how did everyone else do?

My kids are older, 13 and 7 but they had good days, both liked their schedules and teachers.

Not sure if this is just for the kindergarteners but

everyone did well.

DD said that her teacher said they were the best class she ever had so far. Yeah, day 1. She had to bring in 5 things that say something about her. I was so happy that she wanted to bring in something from the flash mob they did this summer.

DS thinks his teacher is going to be a good teacher. That says a lot because he really wanted the teacher he had for the math honors class they have at the school.
