Noah is the same way. I try to do the whole June Cleaver thing by having a nice snack for them.. but Noah is usually climbing the effing walls.
Robbie is better. He's totally focused on doing his homework so he has more 'free' time.

My kindergartner has only had half days this week so he is climbing the walls! Hopefully next week, when they begin full days, he will be back to "normal" 
My 3yo climbs the wall regardless

DD completed her first 3 full days of kindergarten this week. She has come home completely exhausted, quiet, cranky. Doesnt wsnt to do anything but eat a snack and lay down. She didnt get homework this week but I know they are starting next week and she is going to be too shot to wanna do it. I hope she adjusts quickly. At night she is overtired and a real crank pot.

Emily gets home and hits the couch and wants to just chill for like 45 minutes. Then she asks for a snack and a drink of cold water, and then we move on to dinner and the bedtime routine, which is pretty much torture.
And DH has been frustrated with work stuff lately and has been short tempered with her and it so isn't helping! I really don't want to be the only sane and logical person in the house at the end of the day!
Thank God for the dog. At least she's always happy. I think I'd lose my mind this week without her!

I was geared up for the worst this week and DD threw me for a loop - she bounces into the car -( she had one half day of kindergarten and two full days) is so happy to see us and happily plays with her 2 year old brother. I had thought she would hit the couch and be cranky but it has not happened.......yet!! I know it come next week.

Roman comes home in a manic mood, eats like he's skipped the last 10 meals, and then mellows out shortly thereafter.

My daughter is crazy when she gets home, I feel like I am yelling at her constantly to lower her voice and stop running in the house! Glad I am not the only one!

Awesome this year but I swear it's b/c she gets and afternoon snack that all the kids bring from home.
Last year she was a demon and IMO it was from going way too long without eating.

This...and he is always this way, every year for about the first three weeks....one year I put a lock on the outside of his door because he refused to do anything even go to his room, the next year we removed the handle off his door because he continually locked himself in throwing rages and this year, well I am simply praying for the first few weeks of school go quickly!!! Because honestly it has never lasted more than a few weeks....he just has a really hard time adjusting. He never complains though, just acts impossible.

Hope this phase is short lived 
Thanks for commiserating with me ...And he now has baseball practice (which he loves) , religion (which hasnt started yet) and Hip-Hop (also loves) after school, so THIS should get very interesting

Yes, DD is starting up with her dance class again this yr.. starts MOnday and I keep saying how interesting that afternoon should be,

SD's biggest problem is her smart mouth and lack of focus. By the time she gets home her ADHD meds have worn off and its he!! to get her to pay attention to ANYTHING, so homework is always a fight...and she is forever giving attitude and throwing out comments where its obvious she thinks she knows better than you
