I have a child with ADHD and I have to tell you I truly think it is genetic and how can they explain older adults who have it and did not have the pesticides when they were kids in the 40's and 50's?

I don't disagree about the genetic component, but there were definitely pesticides in the 40's and 50's.

I can agree with the genetic part but also I think they have advanced the pesticides through the years..to fight off different dieases and bugs....

I have always fed my DS organic food when I can. I make sure I at least stick to avoiding the dirty dozen.

Even if it isnt linked to ADHD all these pesticides have to have some effect but we just dont know yet...

I dont know how I feel on this matter but I do know that I NEVER ate organic as a child or young adult ( try to more now) and I am fine. So are my siblings, cousins, DH & most people I know who grew up eating whatever.

I def think that genetics plays a role and I think society changes play a role... Kids watch too much tv, start at too young of an age, and have too many toys that blink and light up and play music and dont require them to sit and think or use their imagination! This is purely my opinion, please don't yell at me...

But parenting mag did just post an article on FB about sponge bob also being linked to add...
