breathing very heavy all the time
Lately...I would say in the last 8 -10 months, my BF has mentionned to me that he noticed that I breathe very heavily through my nose. It's usually when I'm resting - watching tv, sitting at my desk, etc. So, I know it's not from getting my heart rate up. A few times he has checked my pulse when I'm breathing heavily and each time my heart rate is normal but he says it feel like it's beating very hard.
On Friday at work a co-worker asked me if I was okay because I was breathing very heavy while I was sitting at her desk writing a note.
I had a rhinoplasty about 5 years ago but I dont think it's related because this has only started in the past year.
I will say though, that my nose does feel stuffy often.
Any ideas on what this can be caused from?

On occassion but not what I would consider frequently...maybe once every few months.

Re: breathing very heavy all the time
See an ENT. Your rhinoplasty plus allergies may have tightened up your nasal cavity and sinuses, which gives you less room to breathe and makes it sound like you're breathing hard.

Thanks...I think this is probably what it is. What do they do to correct this? I really dont want to go through another surgery...

I think it would probably depend on the reason why your sinuses have flared up. Allergies, infection, polyps, etc.
Personally, my nasal polyps are always out of control so it causes lots of sinus issues. I had sinus surgery in March 2009 and I'm anticipating surgery number 2 in Feb 2012.
