What are the chances?

Of me finding out gender (even a good guess) at my appointment on Saturday, I'll be 13 weeks.

I know, I know! Way to early right? But I broke the rules and googled and read a bunch of stories of people finidng out at 13 weeks. So now the irrational part of me is thinkiing maybe just maybe we'll be able to find out.

A guess at that time is 75% accurate if the baby is in the right position--good luck

I wouldn't trust it. At my amnio appt the sono tech said girl and that was at 17 weeks. A week later when i got the results it is clearly a boy....

13 weeks is early

i don't know about the chances in percentage wise but SIL was given a good percentage that her 1st was a girl at the 12 week ultrascreen. It was confirmed at her 20 week.

she just had her 12 week for her 2nd and they said so far it looks like a boy but that it will be confirmed at the 20 week.

i plan on asking too!

my sono tech wouldn't even try to guess that early - we asked her but she quickly said "it's too early, 20 weeks you can find out" it was hard to wait but somehow we did, you could try but it may not be so accurate

at 12w5d our sono tech said 80% ....we did not tell anybody bc we knew that this could change. At 16w5d she said 99.9% and the same again at 20w5d. I am going at 32w5d for my growth sono....we will see if she is still a girl! lol

Don't do this to yourself. The last thing you need is someone telling you the wrong sex. Not on purpose, but at that stage it could happen.

I asked during my sono and was told no way would they tell me. Too early and too much uncertainty.

However, I did have a CVS testing at 12 weeks and I know 100% what my baby is

I disagree with everyone my sono tech explained in detail exactly why she knew it was a boy and pointed to all parts on screen at 13w6days i think it totally depends on how good the machine and seasoned the sono tech is

My sono tech wouldnt even venture a guess at 13 wks but i have heard of some techs being correct at 13 weeks .

I wouldn't even have them guess....it would just be torture. I had a friend that was told boy at 12 weeks and then at her 20 week sono, he changed into a girl!

I had a sono at 12 weeks and my doctor guessed . It was confirmed by a CVS a few weeks later. I don't know if it was just luck, but he was right.

At my 13 week sono the tech guessed girl. She took a peek and said she saw three lines and she thinks it's going to be a girl. I go in 2 weeks for my Level 2 so I'll know for sure then. I was glad to get a guess even though I know we could be in for a surprise, I could care less, either way it's so exciting!

At 12 weeks, the radiologist told me I was having a boy and that she was 95% sure. I told EVERYONE. Lo and behold, at 20 weeks, it was a girl! Every doctor I tell that story to tells me that there really is no way to tell at that point b/c all the parts look the same at 12 weeks. Girls parts stick out then. We clearly saw what we thought was a penis at the 12 week sono to, turns out it was the girl parts sticking out!

My tech told me at 12 weeks... Confirmed with a CVS, and I guess it will be officially official at my anatomy scan tomorrow.
