how late is too late for birth announcements?

I didn't plan on sending out birth announcements because I just figured everyone knows & who needs another picture but now people are asking for pictures so I regret not sending anything out. DD is 2 months old already, is that too late?
I thought I could send one out saying "our baby" instead or "welcome or introducing."
Any thoughts?

It's never too late, IMO!

I'd rather get a birth announcement in the mail rather than a bill!

Im not sure of the exact cutoff but I definitely think that you could and should still send them out after only 2 months!

My DS was born 9/8/10 and we didn't send the announcements until just before Thanksgiving. Send 'em!

It took me 2 months just to write out the addresses & stuff the envelopes to get them out! You have a newborn, people will understand! Send them out! Shutterfly has good deals!

2 mos is not too late. i'm sure everyone understands that as a new mom the last thing you had on your mind was birth announcements. baby is still a newborn so it's fine.

not too late at all. My ds was in the NICU for 2 months so he was 3 months when I sent them out.

You should definitely do it! Our son was almost 5 months when we sent ours out! No one cared at all, and everyone was happy to get it!

I also think you are not too late either. Send them out. I'm sure everyone will be happy to receive them.

I'm almost at the 3 month mark and haven't sent them out yet. With a newborn and toddler I barely have time to brush my teeth some days. You are not late at all.

We sent our announcements when DS was 4 months old.... no biggie and everyone LOVED them

I sent mine out when she was 8 weeks because I had to wait for the photographers proofs.

I just uploaded pictures I had, we didn't take professional pictures so if I would have waited to get them taken I would have never done it. Hopefully they will come out good

i think after a year is too long
