haven't been on much lately either, but I am running!
I was never a runner - in fact, I tried track in high school and absolutely hated it. But I gained a lot of weight after going back to work from maternity leave and was really unhappy so I decided to try running again. I started c25k in May, took a longer than planned break after my July vacation, but then I got back to it and have been training really hard because a friend and I signed for the Disney World 1/2 marathon relay on 10/1. Anyway, today I ran 4 1/2 miles in just under 55 minutes. For a "runner", I know that's slow, but you gotta start somewhere. I've never stuck with running for so long and believe it or not, I'm actually starting to like it! Once I was able to run continuously, it got a lot easier - but I need to stretch lots and take at least 2 days off in between. I also started running outside a few weeks, which was easier for me because I was able to get lost in the scenery and music instead of watching the clock. Anyway, I'm putting this out there for anyone who thinks they can't do it - you definitely can! And I'm really looking forward to running 5.2 miles at Disney World in 2 weeks!
