ayone else's school switch to literacy by design?

WE HATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTE IT!

In theory it is awesome, everything written out for you, books that go along with the lessons... but it all stinks. It will tell us to use a specific book (that they gave us) and have the kids find the sight words in the text taught from that lessons and only 1 word appears...


We dropped Fundations for this (I think they are going to realize this was a BIG mistake!)

We went from TC to Aussie, which either wasnt so bad and now this.. wish we could go back to how it was.

We started it this year, had one day of PD and find that many of us are struggling with it. so many different components to figure out. We had nothing before this so are grateful for this but not sure if it is a good program yet. I find the theme vocabulary does not match with the reading as well. What else do you not like?
