extension???
How can one get an extension to their certification? I think that is what it is called? If I have a Special Education 5-9 all subjects certification, how do I go about getting a content area (ELA, Science, SS, or Math) certification?

I believe you now need 30 credits in the content area you are interested in pursuing. You will also need the CST for that specific content area.
