Need recommendations for house updates:

I'm buying a 1953 house, & everything is original. I need suggestions for the following companies that would work on a home in Massapequa:

1. Carpet stores & installers
2. Hardwood floor finishing companies
3. Electricians (to put in a whole new electrical system)
4. Someone to sell us & install a new furnace
5. Tree Service
6. Roofers

We used the following in old bethpage, and very happy

Precision painting plus-paint, moldings, remove wall paper, skim coating

Pj laura and sons electrician

Jim flack carpet on 110 in farmingdale

Gold star- sanded are floors and did new hardwood in certain rooms

For your Furnace talk to your Gas/Oil company they sometimes have the best deals and can work payment plans. They will also cover the maintenance as part of your yearly maintenance.
