I bought one of those portfolio folders for kids. Its really cute. Found one on amazon.
they have a girl and boy version. It says on the front "My Art".
My DD isnt in school yet but she takes art class and she come home with 2 each class! LOL
So after they stay up on fridge for a week they move to the folder.

We made an art wall. I hang things, take a picture, keep that up for a while, then change them. I have a basket full of art work, and then at the end of the year we go through and pick out favorites to keep. But I have pics of all of them

Jack is 17 months and bring home the most adorable arts and crafts from school (aka daycare)
my thought is to hang a string in his playroom and hang them like laundry on a clotheline as decoration. This way, I can easily change them out. Ill save the really nice ones and toss the rest after a while
I even give some to his grandparents.

We hang some on the fridge and we are going to get a bulletin board for the playroom and start hanging some in there. She goes to school 3 days a week and brings home usually 2 a day. What we don't hang up goes into a folder.

Some we hang up, but most we just take pics of. That way, they are stored "forever", never get damaged or deteriorate, and take up no space, and they are easy to look at later on.

Re: Art projects your dc brings home from school..
I try to take pictures of most of DD's artwork and hang them up. I also give some of it to grandparents, aunts & uncles and cousins. I have her personalize them first for the person she's giving it to. They all love getting them from her and she loves visiting and seeing her artwork in their homes

Re: Art projects your dc brings home from school..
The ones I like I take photos of.. (lots) then save them there. Generally she wants to play them again and so they get destroyed. She will 'add' to them.
I have to say 80% are trash because its not her work its just her name on something a teacher did with her, the ohter 20% is original work and so that is the stuff we photo or keep. We have one piece on our fridge. The others on our fridge she and I did together.

Re: Art projects your dc brings home from school..
I have two long clothes lines in my playroom with the favorites (anything with handprints is a keeper in my book).
A good friend has 4 kids and she gave me a great idea. She takes a pic of her kid with the art project and then makes an album of those photos. Takes up MUCH less space!
