Re: Cosco formula
I haven't used it, but I think someone on here once said that it is made by the same company as similac.
I worker at Costco also told me that they took it to their Dr and he said it was the same thing as similac as well.

Re: Cosco formula
I've been using it with my DD for several months now and she's been totally ok w/it. Ped says it's fine too.

my dd is on enfamil now bc I had gotten so many free containers but I'm thinking when it runs out the cosco brand would be a much more affordable option. I am a little worried about switching brands though.

I found that ingredient and nutrition % the Up and Up brand from Target was the same as Enfamil.

Re: Cosco formula
There is no store brand that is exactly the same as named formula. If you read the ingredients you will see that they use different vitamins and mineral (actually a cheaper, less absorbable kind). This is why most pediatricians won't recommend a store brand until 6mths of age. Formula is the sole source of nutrition at this age, so it is best to hold off till food becomes a larger part of the diet. Babies will grow fine on anything...but if you can wait until 6mths I also agree.
Kirkland brand is manufactured by Abbott...however they don't use the same ingredients. ANd more important..they add the proper DHA in the costco brand and not their branded product...(so that is one good thing about it)
So if you can hold off till then...its worth it. Try to buy generic wipes, diapers, beauty products before going to formula. However, I understand that people have to do what they have to do, and no harm will come of using a generic...
