Hey ladies, I need some help
I am 33, and DH and I have been TTC for almost a yr. I came off BCP in February, after being on it for 10+ years. My periods have been irregular, so by Ob/Gyn sent me to an RE.
I saw Dr. Rosenfeld 2 weeks ago, and liked him and his staff. I saw him on CD 40, and he drew blood and did an internal sono, also tested DH. When I went back to see him he told me DH is fine.
Most things with me are also ok, but he said my FSH/LH levels were out of whack. He wanted to start me on clomid, but for a few reasons I decided to wait a bit. I went home to do some research and of course now wish I could speak to him because I feel much more educated on this issue and feel like I have a million questions.
My questions for you ladies are:
1. Shouldn't he have done bloodwork on CD 3? Are my results skewed because it was CD 40? 2. These are my levels, from what I have read they seem ok, except for maybe my LH. I need help analyzing them please :)
TSH 2.78 Total T4 9 Estradiol 58 f Progesterone 1.8 f LH 9.1 f FSH 5.3 f Prolactin 17.8
Thanks ladies!

Did Dr Rosenfeld tell you to call when you get your period?

Re: Hey ladies, I need some help
Your TSH is slightly high, that's "Thyroid Stimulating Hormone". It can effect TTC. Dr.'s say they like to see it between 1-2 when TTC.
I would make an appt at an endo and get it checked out because that number will probably fall into the "normal" range at your GP's office.
This is how I found out I have Hashimoto's disease, by my RE because my GP said it was "normal".

No, when I was there for my results (a few days after the bloodwork), I had my period. He wanted to start me on Clomid and I decided to think about it for a bit.
