Manhasset Pediatrician

Hi!

I am expecting my first child in less than a month and am trying to find a pediatrician in Manhasset. I received several names from my OBGYN and was hoping someone would recommend one on the list or know of another! The ones I have are:
Dr. Eric Gould/Susan Hyman
Dr. Fred Barash
Dr. Stephen LaSala
Dr. Kathleen Tierney-O'Connor
Dr. Victor Turow
Dr. Marvin Resmovitz
Dr. William Gerba

We use Dr. Barash, even after moving to Lynbrook despite the hike

I love that he is a sole practitioner - doesn't even use an answering service, calls after-hours are forwarded directly to his cell phone! He knows my kids inside and out and I can see him whenever I need to.

He is slightly abrasive in the 'I've treated umpteen million children, my advice trumps all.' I actually prefer that in a physician - and at the same time am not afraid to do something different that I think works for my kids. We have a great 'working' relationship that way


ETA: I found him through my OB, who I also adore - his recommendation went a long way with me.

I see Dr. Michael Stern at Dr. Stephen LaSalla's office and love them both.

I'm very happy there and think they run a great practice. They are very strict with being on time with your appointment - hence why you never wait longer than 10 minutes to get called in (unless there is an emergency), they have Saturday hours, they aren't so fast to put your child on antibiotics unless absolutely necessary.

We loved Dr. Lasala & Stern as well.... we had to switch due to insurance.... but I highly recommend them!
