Do you know a roundabout figure for the cost of meds for an IVF cycle? Just getting prepared for what's ahead.

IVF is somewhere around $13,000-15,000 and meds are anywhere from $1500 on up. I was on very low doses b/c I was a very high responder so I actually bought more than i needed from kraupners and whatever I didn't use they allowed me to return. For my 2nd cycle I went to North Shore and did the Attain Program, which was $19,500 which covered 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles. Good Luck!!!

Everyone is different with how much medication they need to respond well for IVF. If you need high doses of the meds like I did - you could be looking at close to $5,000 in meds alone. I hope that's not the case for you - Good luck!

As PPs said, it really depends on how you respond.

I always responded REALLY well to even small doses, so I didn't need a ton of Gonal-F (which is really pricey). I would say anywhere from $1500-5k

My meds for my first IVF cycle cost almost 6K. They ordered more than I actually needed, but insurance covered it all of it.

Like PPs said, it totally depends on how you respond, but it also depends on whether your RE adds a drug like Menopur and that depends on your LH levels, among other things I'm sure. That costs about $75 per vial and I've used 1-2 per night for up to 10 nights. When I paid OOP for Gonal-F last year, it was $900 something for the multidose and I needed 2 of them. If I was a better responder however, I would have only needed one. If you are really looking for a ballpark number, I would estimate at least $1,500-2,000 to be safe, but it can really vary.
