Need help understanding O

Everytime I think I know what I'm doing, I realize I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm only off BCP 2 months. My 1st cycle off BCP was 31 days. Based on an O calendar I figured when my O should have been (12-16 days prior to CD 1, right?)

OK, so on to month 2. I figured my next cycle would be 31 days and again I used the calendar to find my fertile days. DH said, why are we using a calendar why don't we just get those OPK? So he went to CVS on Friday night and bought one. I tested Sat mrng and got a positive. Sat was CD 22.

Does that mean my cycle will be longer than 31 days this month? I thought I was in 2ww, but now I have no idea.

Yes your cycle could be longer this month. If you got a positive on cd22 then this month could be a 34-35 day cycle. Mine are always different month to month from 30-45 days....very annoying

You could have cycles all over the place when you come off BCP. Your luteal phase should be somewhere between 12 and 16 days. If you O'd on CD 22, you should expect AF (or not ) 12-16 days later.

When we first talked about going off BCP we said "ok, let's just see what happens". Now that I'm off we're both obsessed and we want it to happen so bad.
