I agree w/all pp & think you should go w/option #3. I actually have all the chairs I need for my set but LOVE the look of the different head chairs so I am now searching for 2 new chairs.

3) Remove the arms from existing arm chairs to make them side chairs - DH thinks this is easily do-able since it appears that are only attached with 2 screws - and that will give us our 6 side chairs. Buy something like these for the ends of the table.
I like this idea. But only if you can fill the holes without any issues.
There are little pegs in the holes now so we could put those back in I guess
I like this idea as well.
You can do that or if that doesn't work, just use wood filler and you won't even see the holes..

I would do option #3.
According to this Website the chairs have been discontinued.
However this website maybe another option to purchase.

thanks - worries me to order because that model number goes with a different legacy chair. it might be a mistake.

There is a furniture store on Main Street in Patchogue, can't remember the name of it at all....
But when we were looking for baby furniture, someone suggested we go to this place and they could order any name brand furniture for less than you'd get it at say Behrs. You just needed the product code/item number.
I wonder if you took all your info and a picture of the furniture, if they could look it up for you.
ETA: It might have been Stanley's furniture, but I just looked them up and found bad reviews.

Called them and others. That is a mistake on that website. The picture i the chair we want, but the number corresponds to a different chair - we called them and confirmed this was an error. Chair is discontinued. We could call every store that carries the Legacy brand to see if anyone has a floor model or any left in stock - which is a slim to none chance. We are going ahead with option 3.  I am not sure what chairs we will be getting for the head of the table but I saw brown leather ones I really liked.
