DD cries all.of.the.time
I cannot take it. She has been this way since she was born in January. If she is not being held, she is crying. Like... crying-to-the point-of-passing-out-crying. I cannot take it anymore. I know nothing is bothering her bc the second I pick her up she stops. I cannot get anything done. My day every morning starts this way and ends with her crying herself to sleep. Any advice besides drinking heavily???

Sling? I think the Ergo goes to 40 pounds. I'm sure others have more advice on this. Reflux maybe?

She's too heavy for me to sling her around. She was 23 pounds at her 9 month appoinment. not reflux.

A side sling might work...just like you were carrying her on your hip

Re: DD cries all.of.the.time
My DD is a whiner, big time. Always has been. She'll be happy for a while and then starts whining and crying to be picked up. I think some kids are just like that. I keep hoping she'll outgrow it, and it has gotten a little better but its still so frustrating!! She's 16 months. So basically I have no advice, but I can relate!!

Could have written this word for word. DD is 17mos now and I cannot WAIT for the day she can really talk and express what she wants. Until then I'm with you...

Re: DD cries all.of.the.time
does anything make her happy? my son used to be very clingy all the time. But he loved the doorway jumper and exercauser. How is your dd with those? what about using a walker?

Oh I feel so bad but lately I take my 4yo DS to do things with me on Saturdays and leave DD with DH and I LOVE that time. She's just SO hard and he's SO easy. She's definitely scratches any baby #3 itches I get that's for sure

What if you put a little in her ?
Obv, I'm joking. What about taping your voice and playing it for her? Or maybe giving her a piece of your clothing after you've worn it?

Re: DD cries all.of.the.time
How is she when you put her in the exercauser? Jumperoo?
Does she have a favorite TV show? Watch Baby Einsteins?
Is she hungry? On table foods yet? Can you give her puffs to keep her busy to feed herself?
Just trying to throw some different things out there, I would lose my mind and you are scaring me for #3.

I do this all of the time. when she wants to be picked up...there is no distracting her. OMG....I want to pull my hair out.

Re: DD cries all.of.the.time
I know exactly how you feel. My DD is the same way. I feel bad for my older DD because I am constantly giving my attention to the now 13mo. She has gotten slightly better as she got older and can play on the floor for brief periods of time but most of the day I'm holding her.

How long do you usually let her cry before picking her up. (assuming nothing is wrong, wet, hungry etc)

Re: DD cries all.of.the.time
Um, no advice because I was right there and nothing worked. The only thing that helped was when family gave me a break. Now, DD is almost 4 and still a major cryer. Not all the time, but enough. Its part of her personality. Hang in there!

tonight, it was the hour it took me to make dinner and and clean up when i got home form work. this morning, the entire 1.5 hours it took me to get ready. I had no choice but to leave her screaming in the pack and play while i attended to things. she was crying so hard her face was red and she was drenched in her own sweat.

Holy shiz but still at 4?! Not trying to hijack but this scares me
OP I seriously feel your pain because DD spent the entire time we were cooking dinner screaming and trying to hang from the oven bar as she basically does every night. We give her snacks so she's not hungry, just impatient! We should start a drama baby support group

Travis too. And when he isn't crying, he is evil. I have no advice. I tried everything with him.

The ergo has a back carry. I'd just tote her around all the time like a backpack.

What about teaching her some sign language, so she has another way to express herself
