Pillitteri ladies - is he overly cautious?
Prescribed at first visit:
prometrium
prescribed at second:
2000 ius Vitamin D
folic acid
I am 10 weeks and he told me I can't BD or even O.
Is this normal or is he extra cautious b/c he's a high risk ob/gyn?
I'm considering switching doctors. I've been with Eileen forever but he's kinda rubbing me the wrong way.

Re: Pillitteri ladies - is he overly cautious?
I used Dr. P to deliver my twins, he didn't put me on vitamin D or anything besides my prenatal pills. I actually thought he was too laid back and not cautious enough, but he did tell me not to have sex for my entire pregnancy, but it was due to many complications. My perinatal doctor put me on vitamin d and extra folic acid, so I'm sure he knew I was on it, but nobody in the office ever asked.
Sometimes I didn't like him and he rubbed me the wrong way with certain comments, but in the end he really did good by me and my c-section. I had absolutely no complications post delivery and my c-section scar is not that noticeable and I really didn't have much pain after about 3 days.

Re: Pillitteri ladies - is he overly cautious?
He had me on a prenatal, extra folic acid, prometrium and a baby asprin. Idk if he was overly cautiois but I have a host of reasons why I am no longer a patient of his. I'm not sure why you can't bd or o. Do you have any other issues? Is your progesterone extremely low?

Re: Pillitteri ladies - is he overly cautious?
I have a clotting issue and low vitamin D- so I'm on baby aspirin and a vit D supplement along with prenatals.
I don't think he is overly cautious- but for some other reasons, I'm not sure I'd use him again if I have a 3rd.
I will keep them as GYN though.
