Girls who have had an ectopic

When you were able to start again, did you do an IUI or IVF?

my insurance has been a pain in the butt and giving us a lot of trouble about moving on to IVF... so i was thinking of doing an IUI in the meantime.. Im just sooooo nervous i will have another ectopic since my chances are now increased.

I had losses after both IUI and IVF and for each, I had to wait 8wks.

we waited 2 months before starting to try again after my ectopic. at the time we were just trying by but we are most likely moving on to IVF in the new year.

i still have both tubes so i dont know if my answer applies... ive gotten pregnant 2 on my own after the ectopic... that in a few days it will be 3 times

i had to wait 3 months b/c they gave me methotrexate to terminate the pregnancy.. i didn't lose a tube.. but im going in for an HSG to see if my tubes are ok...

my insurance is giving me a hard time b/c they require a certain amount of IUI's before IVF...but it does say in their policy that girls with ectopics can move right to IVF... however, they are still giving me a hard time.. so I'm thinking of just doing an IUI in the meantime.. but im sooooo scared of having another ectopic :(

I am still in the middle of an ectopic pregnancy. I was given methotrexate a little over a week ago. My beta levels are going down but it's going to take time before they are back to zero.

I hear that methotrexate depletes folic acid from the body so I really want to give my body time {3-4 months} to heal. DH on the other hand only wants to wait the recommended 2 cycles. I'll see how I feel once the time comes.
