anyone have the Nikon 18-200 lens? or Sigma 18-200? help please!!

I want to get a new lens for my Nikon D60. I use only the automatic setting. DH is looking at these 2 lenses for me...I don't have a clue.

I wanted to get the 18-155 but he thought this one would be better. I don't want it to be humongous and not fit in my bag.

I only take pics of my kids and family events.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated!

i don't use zooms with that much of focal length difference. The one large zoom i own is a 70-200. Nikon has a better review over Sigma and both have distortion from what I am looking at but for the average person you probably wouldn't notice on the Nikon version. I honestly say this to everyone. TRY IT first. Go to a store bring your camera and try both lenses out. See how it feels so how it looks.
