Long Island IVF
I go to LIIVF and I went through one cycle of IUI before they realizes the my FSH levels were consistantly too high and told me I would need an egg donor. I was completely heart broken I already was doing this on my own using a donor spern now I would need an egg donor. I crumbled because I could not afford an egg donor and thought all hope was over for me ever being able to have a child then my wonderful sister stepped up to the plate and told me she would donate as many eggs as I needed. I am beyond appreciative. Now my only worry is that I can only afford one cycle of IVF and I so need this to work. I am a nervous wreck. I start my Lupron on the 30th of December and my sister will do her transfer in January. I need this to work so badly. I have had only one dream my whole life and that was to be a mom. Any advise to how to keep the nerves under control

Re: Long Island IVF
God bless family!
Try and stay calm. The more relaxed you are going into this, the better chances of success. LI IVF has great success rates- and with your sister's eggs, I bet your chances are great. Good luck - acupuncture helped me relax during my cycle

Re: Long Island IVF
I know its easier said than done but try to focus on the positives and take it one day at a time. You are going thru so many emotions you will have days of feeling overwhelmed. I have heard acupuncture helps with anxiety...maybe try that? Prayer or re-establishing a faith can give u guidance during this time or maybe speaking with a therapist can also help!
Good luck with everything...its great having a sister like urs! I also go to LI IVF and I think you are in great hands.

Re: Long Island IVF
Hi Lisa, just want to wish you good luck and say hi to a fellow single mom. You are the only other single mom by choice I have seen on here. My son is almost 7 months old and was conceived with donor sperm. I did 3 IUIs. First was a bust, second ended in a long drawn out miscarriage and third was my beautiful son who decided that he would like to surprise me for Mother's Day, 7 weeks early. Keep us updated!

Re: Long Island IVF
First, congratulations. Look at the positives you have going for you. You were lucky not to waste time or money on many IUIs. And what a blessing that your sis came through with the most generous gift ever. It seems like everything is going your way and I hope its a sign of good things to come. Try not to stress over things you can't control and focus on the things you can control. If you get the things you can control in line, you will feel better. So eat well, take vitamins, maybe exercise or walk, drink water, and get a lot of sleep. kick any bad habits if you have them. Maybe try a yoga or meditation class to relax. I had my two IVF babies thru LIIVF, so I think you're in good hands. Good luck.
