Suffolk Co. Police Test results
Have you heard of anyone or have you gotten your results from the Suffolk County Police test that was offered in June? I have a friend who is waiting to hear back and he was told 6 months. Would he hear by Christmas?

UGH! I'm praying HARD that he gets a good score. If he doesn't, he will have to move out of state because of no work up here. I'm so frustrated.

My brothers and I took the test a few years back - it's very cutthroat with scores - pretty much have to get a perfect score and those with military experience get extra points so they are at at an advantage - good luck to you guys hope u find out soon

Well he holds a high ranking position in the military but his full time orders are ending soon. That's why he's waiting to hear from the SCPD

Yes. Suffolk is pretty tough and very political. My husband took it and had a fantastic score and military experience but it was still a long wait. By the time he was called, he found something else. You have to remember that the scores just hold your place on the list and they keep their lists active for a few years so even with a top score, you could be waiting for some time before being called by the county or by a village.

I remember meeting a cop who told me that she was called 2 or 3 after she took the test and her score was in the mid 90s So even if he doesn't get hired right away they might call him later on

True, they also weed out a lot of top-scoring candidates with rigorous physical and psychological testing.

My future brother in law just got called for the december class his test was taken in 07! He has been in the investigation process for about a yr now but just got word he passed it all and has been accepted into the class. Then the class is 6 mths so he wont offically grad until end of june.
