Do you get your teaching partner a holiday gift
I am at anew school and I am working with a young guy( 30). We get along fine and i am just not sure if i should get him something. I know this sounds bad, but i dont want to be empty handed if he gets me something. the only reason why i think he may is his girlfreind is the Kindergarten teacher so she may think of it. What would you get him if anything? TIA

We usually do, but this year, agreed not to get each other gifts because we are just overwhelmed with trying to get everything done. I've always gotten gifts for my partners, but I have always had female partners.

maybe have a bottle of wine or gift card ready just in case? that way you will be ready, but if you dont end up needing it for him, it can always be put to good use!

I exchange about a $20 with the guy I teach with and 5-10 for the other two people who share our office.
I am chipping in with another group of my friends for a keurig I stead of getting gifts.

Yes, you should get him a gift. If you don't and he does, it might feel awkward. $25 gift card would be a great gift.
