Pet Health Insurance?
Do you guys have pet insurance for your pets? Benson has 30 days of free pet insurance from Petplan USA since we adopted him from North Shore Animal League. I'm just wondering if its worth it to continue the plan. Thanks!

we don't technically have insurance; but both our dogs have wellness plans that cover their annual shots and screenings. And then i get a lower rate on prescription if needed and free office visits. it's through Banfield @ petsmart.

This is what we do. It's relatively inexpensive. We have had to pay for a few things- flu shot, flea and tick meds, etc. But I think its been worth it.

Re: Pet Health Insurance?
I have pet insurance through trupanion. I think it is worth it one illness or injury could make the entire policy worth it for the year. Tests for dogs especially imaging (which usually require sedation) is very, very expensive.

I use to have it through VPI but cancelled it. I was paying about $60 a month. And than would have to pay out at the visit only to get a portion of it back. I didn't think it was worth it.

We have VPI as well. It was def worth it for us when our dog was in the hospital for 4 days and it costed us $2400. We got back around $1000 and only paid about $320 for the year. We also get back a certain amount per visit(except vaccinations bc we dont pay for vaccination coverage) Our dog has allergies and is in the vet often and likes to eat things hes not supposed too. We def made our money back.
