I agree with this.
Kids are blank slates, they don't know any better; it's up to parents to teach them how to behave.
That show is scary, those kids are out of control, I could NEVER in a MILLION BILLION years, EVER picture my niece and nephews behaving the way those kids do.

I've seen a 6 year old kid scream his face off at a mexican restaurant because they didn't have chicken nuggets, throw a full on tantrum and take a swing at the waitress, while the mother tried to explain that he didn't nap.... I'm sorry, but that kid deserved a smack on the a$$

I am a mommy to be and I actually found that comment pretty funny lol. Just because she said she wanted to punch the kid doesnt mean she will. I think it was just a joke.

- See, and I see the scenerio differently.....
1. Mom should have made sure she took her kid to a place that had chicken nuggets/fingers, because most likely if the child threw that sort of tantrum, chances are that is his "staple" meal.
2. Knowing her kid didn't nap, she should not have taken her kid out to eat.
We usually go out to dinner on Friday nights: My almost 3 year old has been a NIGHTMARE this week (putting it mildly), knowing this...we did not go out tonight given how volitile her behavior has been today. I didn't want to subject anyone to her ridiculousness.
And as far as Supernanny goes..... I watch it to make me FEEL BETTER about my kids!
