Mud and Sand

We are having a beach themed party for my sisters graduation. I want to make the desserts MUD and SAND.
It is the dessert you put in a beach pail and scoop put with a beach shovel. I think this is such a cute idea.

Anyone know the real recipe...before I go mixing whatever I want. Chat Icon It has the gummy worms in it I know.

Thanks.

Re: Mud and Sand

I found this one....but I would think you would want to use Chocolate pudding...rather than vanilla

MUD PUDDING OR DIRT DESSERT
Printed from COOKS.COM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8 oz. softened cream cheese
8 oz. whipped topping
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 lg. instant vanilla pudding
2 c. milk
1 1/2 lb. pkg. crushed Oreo cookies
1/2 stick melted butter

Mix pudding and milk. Add powdered sugar and cream cheese; mix until all is blended. Stir in Cool Whip.
In separate bowl combine cookie crumbs and butter. Alternate several layers of pudding mixture and crumbs in bowl, ending with crumbs on top. Decorate with gummy worms. Refrigerate. You may use new flower pot and serve with a new small plastic shovel if desired.
