Any SUNY Professional Employees?
I applied for a job at Stony Brook and I'm wondering what their maternity leave policy is. I can't find anything on their site about it. I used to work for the Research Foundation but I know those rules are different.
At my current job, we get 6 weeks (8 weeks with a c-section) and then we can use vacation time up to 12 weeks (for FMLA). We can only use sick time if we have a doctor's note.
A few questions I have are: How long do you have to work there for it to kick in? Paid/unpaid? How long do you get or do you have to use vacation and sick time?
Thank you in advance!

I presume its a State job. Here is a link to the Leave Benefits for State employees. SBU State Leave policy I am not sure if there is a minimum period of employment before you become eligible for the benefits. Good Luck!
