Are the kiddos staying up for New Year's?
Last year we attempted to let Emily stay up and by about 10:30 she was a cranky lunatic so we put her to bed.
I'm thinking we'll probably do the same tonight.
So are you letting the kiddos stay up until New Year's tonight? Or having them go to bed early?

DD is only 3 but she can definitely stay up late and handle it. However, we put her to bed b./c we want to watch **** Clarks Rockin NYE uninterrupted. LOL

Re: Are the kiddos staying up for New Year's?
We went to the movies and got home at 8 pm. That is their normal bed time. We let them stay up until 9:30. DS fell asleep at 9 and DD fell asleep at 9:30.
On a side note, Tin Tin was an awesome movie.

DD stayed up until 12:30. We had some friends here so she was occupied with their kids. Who am I kidding, she could stay up that late any night

Re: Are the kiddos staying up for New Year's?
My almost 6 y.o stayed up till 9:30 and was losing it. She normally goes to bed at 7,7:30... because no matter what time she goes to bed, she wakes up 6:30am. Case in point today Its gonna be a cranky 1st day of 2012

Re: Are the kiddos staying up for New Year's?
We told both the kids, stay up as long as you want, when you're tired, you go to bed. My DD, who is 5.5, went in about 9:30. DS, who is 7.5, was up past midnight, and even then some. I was actually in bed before I heard him go down the hall to his bed!

Re: Are the kiddos staying up for New Year's?
nope..I had DD in bed by 9 - regulkar bedtime is 8. She wakes at 7 am regardless of what time she goes to sleep and its just not worth it the next day.

Re: Are the kiddos staying up for New Year's?
We told the kids they can take a snooze before five to midnight and then we will wake them up. That's what happened last year and they were both very excited. But this year, they were too dead from anticipation and didn't even wake up!
