Jogging Stroller recs
Oh how I have missed this board and cannot wait until I can come back I am pregnant and starting to look into a jogging stroller so that I can get back into the swing of things once my DD is born. Any mom's out there have recommendations for nice jogging strollers. A few people on the pregnancy board have been talking about the BOB joggers but they are so pricey. Are there any runners out there that use the city mini and it works well for them. I am about 5ft 2 and run about 15-20 miles a week except for when I am training for a race. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have a BOB duallie (yes, $$$$)
I bought a Joovy Jogger (single) off craigs list and I have to say.... I love it. It's much cheaper and super easy to maneuver.

Re: Jogging Stroller recs
I have the BOB jogger. I'm pretty sure that the city mini doesn't have the appropriate brakes to use if you are looking for a true jogger to run with. However, I am waiting the recommended 8 months to actually jog with it. I have used it with the infant seat adapter for walking and on tougher terrain to navigate with our regular stroller. DS is only 6 months so once the weather warms up we will be using this as a true jogger.

BOB!!!
I tried out a few different brands and BOB is the one we love the most. I had a single Revolution and now a Duallie. Love it! So easy to maneuver and great on all kinds of terrain. I typically run between 20-30 miles per week with the stroller (in the warmer weather) and it was great.
You can probably find one on Craigslist for around $250-350, depending on the model you choose.

I also love the BOB. I tried out a bunch, and it was my favorite, and seemed like the smoothest ride. It is definitely $$, but that was one of my biggest baby related splurges.

Re: Jogging Stroller recs
Thanks for all of the info ladies. I am going to look at a used BOB this weekend. Im not sure how old it is but from the photos it looks to be in good condition. Can someone explain to me some of the safety features so I can make sure I am on the lookout for them. TIA

I can only speak about the Revolution model as that is the one I had as a single and now as a double.
It should have the wrist strap attached to the bottom bar. This is a safety feature so as you're running, if you stumble or if you lost your grip on the handlebar, the stroller won't roll away from you.
The Revolution also has a front wheel that can lock in place or swivel. And the brake is on the bottom and just flips up or down to lock the back wheels.
Definitely look at the year it was made and check to see if there were any recalls. I seem to remember something about the pull strings on the canopy but it is something BOB will send you a fix for if the current owner hasn't already done so.
