Anyone have a Bob-O-Pedic or a Tempur Pedic Mattress? Problems with mattress pad?

We bought our Bob-O-Pedic in January and purchased the mattress pad that was for sale at Bob's. It was pretty cheaply made and wasn't staying on the bed, so DH called the company and they sent us a new one. The same thing happened, so I went out and bought a deep pocket mattress pad and its STILL happening! The sheets and mattress pad come off of the bed almost every single night and its sooooooooooooo annoying!

Just was wondering if anyone had this problem as well- or if anyone knows of a super deep pocket mattress pad that might work!

We have a Tempurpedic but it is definitely not a high mattress - I think it's about 9" thick - so I don't think our mattress pad would work for you. But we got it at Sleepy's (where we got the mattress) and have not had a problem.

We don't use the mattress pad for our Tempurpedic but we always have to adjust our sheets. Like every single day they need to be tugged back down on the corners. I imagine the pad and the sheets would be a nightmare.

I have the pillowtop Bob O Pedic...i think its the Celestial? I have this problem with one pair of my sheets....but my other ones are fine. Did you get a mattress pad and sheets for a thick mattress?

same here! have the bobopedic, which we love..but the pad & fitted sheet always comes off on DH's side. Good to know it's not just us, although I've been yelling at DH for dragging his asss when he flips & pulling the sheets off.. I will not be telling him about this thread

I have the Bob-O-Pedic, since I bought the deep pocket sheets I haven't had any problems with them coming off

EVERY morning I have to adjust the mattress pad with my Bob-o-pedic. I always blame DH too.

this has happened ever since we got our bob-o-pedic last week! the protective cover comes off on my side, and every time I try to fix it, it just comes right off.

glad to know it's not just me

This happens to us too with the bob-o-pedic mattress pad and my sheets. It is always on DH's side too!!

Sooo annoying!!! I have deep pocket sheets and it still happens!

i dont have a Bob-O-Pedic but i was thinking of getting these bed sheet straps for my bed. DH is a crazy sleeper and the sheets on his side of the bed are always coming undone

This just started to happen to me. I thought it was because we have 2 XL twin mattresses with twin mattress pads but we use a king sheet. Our sheet is not too small by any means but the pad is still doing that. I am afraid not to use the pad because the mattress warranty is void if the mattress has any stains. I am sure they use that to get out of the warranty all the time. We went with the twin mattresses because we plan to get adjustable bed frames.

I am just curious if your mattress pad is doing that, do you have a plush or firm mattress? We have one of each and this is only happening on the plush side. If you have mixed, do you notice it more on one side?

I signed up just to reply to this thread, because I too was the annoyed consumer with my bob-o-pedic.

The PROBLEM with the BOB-O-PEDIC is the velour cover.

If you run your hand on the top of the mattress without a sheet from left to right and then from right to left, you will feel that the little hairs that make the soft velour surface lie in one direction. They grab your hand one way and are smooth the other way. This action acts like a ratchet on whatever sheets or mattress cover you put on, resisting movement in one direction and allowing it in the other.

This is why the sheets tend to keep riding up on only one side of the mattress. It is also why removing this matress cover solves the problem. My guess is that removing the cover will void your warrantee since it leaves the mattress foam unprotected. An alternative is to purchase a mattress encasement which encloses the entire mattress and zippers closed. These are pretty easy to find these days due to the popularity of bed bug neuroses. Unfortunately they cost about 100 bucks.

I bought a zip up vinyl waterproof cover, haven't had any problems since, completely waterproof. I bought it from overstock.com
