Bloody Show....TMI...Sorry
Those of you that have experienced this can you tell me if it lasted long. I am 38 weeks and last night when I wiped I had blood on the paper. When I called the doc. he said prob. the bloody show, monitor it and then call him today with an update or last night if it got worse. It hasn't gotten worse but it is still going....did yours last long?

my bloody show was like i got my period and it didn't stop. I had to wear a pad and everything. The bleeding never stopped. 30 minutes later my contractions started.
Maybe it's part of your mucus plug?

Same here. I started to lightly bleed and 20 minutes later my contractions started.

Mine was different. I lost my mucus plug and bleed for about a day or two. I had my  8 days after losing my plug. And, I'm positive I lost the plug because I had a doctor's appointment 2 days later and they did an internal exam and confirmed it.

Thanks! I lost my plug about two weeks ago! Ehhhh it is so confusing WIth dd my water broke and that was that. However, this time around everything is so different....I feel like it is the first time all over again!
No contractions yet just a lot of stringy discharge and blood! Sorry TMI!!! :(

I only bled when my OB stripped my membranes. I did lost the plug a couple times bc supposedly it regenerates?? So i did notice that 2x. As far as the blood, I never bled much myself. If the doc is saying its ok, youre ok! Good luck!

With DD, I lost my mucus plug at 38 weeks or so-- but I have heard it regenerates within 48 hours, so what you lost before is probably back.
When I actually went into "labor" at 40weeks 5 days, my water broke-- only a little trickle down my leg. WHen I went to wipe to see what was happening, there was a little blood.
I put on a pad, and no more blood or even fluid on it.. I went to the hospital and ultimately had my bloody show there after they had given me pitocin to bring on contractions since I still wasn't contracting or even dilating even though my water did break.
Sounds like it will happen soon for you though!
