Spinach (and a general baby food question)

I have been making DD's food in the Beaba and thought we should try Spinach. I just made it and when I taste it it seems really bitter. (I didn't use the reservoir water to puree)

When are you supposed to introduce spinach? Is there something I can mix it with in order to lessen the bitterness?

DD is almost 7 months and we have done:

Sweet Potato
Carrots
Peas
Butternut Squash
Zucchini
(Corn -- Earth's Best mixed with Butternut Squash)

Apples
Pears
Banana
Avocado

What other foods can you suggest?

I'm trying to stick to organic and so far I can't find any organic peaches/nectarines/melon because it's winter!

mango
yellow squash
prunes

I introduced spinach via plum organics as it was mixed with peas and pears I think. I wasn't feeling brave enough to make spinach on my own so this is one I chose to buy. DD loves it which is good

DS will not eat spinach by itself, the only way I have gotten him to eat it is by making a spinach quiche...he loved it!

I sauted DD's spinach in a little olive oil, then tossed it in a blender with some baked pears. Big hit.

What about frozen or jarred organic peaches? You could find them at Trader Joes or Whole Foods easily.

eta: Try green beans, broccoli, zucchini, papaya, apricot, prunes. What does your ped say about berries? Have you tried meats yet? What about beans? I was a mixing wh0re and would toss together all kinds of combos.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I will definitely try the spinach/pear combo -- DD LOVED pears when I gave them to her.
