I used to do them in my class using a program I downloaded from audacity.com. It was free and very easy to use. I'd use a cheap mircophone and save as MP3 files, which I could easilly upload to my website. FM me if you have any questions.

we have microphones, but we also have ipods with recording if you need to go to a quiet place.
