I subscribe to a bunch of podcasts, not sure if any of them are "cool" though 
This American Life (Chicagl Public Radio show- non-fiction and fiction stories all about a certain theme that changes every week)
Wait Wait..... Don't tell me (another NPR show, very funny- it's a news quiz, they have a panel of comedians, and a guest, as well as callers, who have to answer news questions- if you like the Daily Show you'd like this, it's the same type of humor)
Then a couple of parenting podcasts

MommyCast
A bunch of news and science ones as well.

I get a lot of the "girl" ones (Grammar girl; moeny girl, hip tranquil chick, etc.)
And of course, Sesame Street. 
I plugged in my ipod last night and I had 32 updates.
