Re: strollers and car seats....
I got the chicco magic carseat and the chicco snap and go. I've played with them a bit and love them so far. I also registered for the city mini since I like that it's so small and lightweight. I have a very small trunk and am a wimp so I know a bigger stroller wouldn't work for me.

Re: strollers and car seats....
With DS#1 we got a Graco Snugride car seat and an extra base for DH's car. We got the Jeep snap and go and a Maclaren umbrella stroller. For this one, we kept the Graco car seat and got the City Select stroller which is a single and a double stroller and the car seat snaps into it.
A lot of ladies get a snap and go stroller that the infant car seat snaps into and then have a stroller for after their kid is out of the infant car seat like a Maclaren umbrella or a City Mini depending on your needs. I also heard good things about Uppababy and Bumbleride strollers. Def consider all of your needs when getting a stroller, like I have a Jeep so the trunk is higher up so I had to make sure I could lift it up and put it in the back, will it fit in your trunk, will you need more room on top of the just the stroller in there, big basket, cup holders, etc etc.

Re: strollers and car seats....
We also read Baby Bargains and for the infant car seat decided on the Graco Snugride 35. DH is really tall and I liked that it went to 35lbs or 32inches. We did the Britax Marathon for the convertible. We looked at some travel systems but DH didn't like them
For the stroller we chose the UppaBaby Cruz. It was $200 cheaper than the Vista, folded like a dream and wouldn't take up the whole trunk. The seat is reversible and it can also function like a snap and go with an attachment. They are coming out with a belly bar attachment this Spring so it sealed the deal for us!
It really is insanely overwhelming. Thankfully we went to Buy Buy Baby and they were awesome!! We went with my list and then told them a price range and desired features. Good luck!

We registered for the Chicco Keyfit 30, and the Keyfit Caddy (their snap n go). We were originally going to go with the Graco Snugride 30 or 35, but I liked the snap n go much better for the Chicco. We also registered for the City Mini.

Re: strollers and car seats....
You def want to get Best Baby Bargains book. This book saved my mind! Lol The whole stroller car seat thing is soooooo overwhelming... But you need to think of your needs... Think about the weight of the stroller as well... Wheere do you live and will be using it mostly? City or suburbs? Do you travel a lot? Whats your price range? What kind of car do you have? Do you have mulitple cars?
Im probably registering for Britax B Ready stroller and car seat. Its got the snap and go for infant then reg toddler seat and can be configured 14 ways. Im also registering for an umbrella stroller and a booster car seat.
I just have to repeat the book was a huge help for me because what works for 1 woman may not work for you. Plus it has soooo much information on what to look for. Safety ratings. Price ratings. Its helped with my entire registry.

Re: strollers and car seats....
For my first DD I had a Graco Travel System and I really hated that thing.
For this baby I will still use a graco infant carseat, but I will use the snap and go in the beginning.
And today I purchased the Britax B-Agile stroller --- which is very similar to the city mini. I was all prepared to buy the city mini but after reading to some reviews and talking to the salesperson at BRU...I decided on the B-agile. A few of the "quirks" of the city mini seem to have been fixed with the b-agile. The basket is more accessable. The wheel base is slightly smaller to make it easier to get through small spaces. The bar between the back wheels curves up so that you don't kick it while you walk. The harness is easily adjustable and doesn't have any hooks that the child can undo...I tested it out and it seemed great!

Re: strollers and car seats....
i decided on chico travel system. stroller carseat and base.
then i am getting one additional base for dh's car.
and for quick in and out trips i am getting the chico brand snap and go..( its not a snap and go..cause thats the other brand...but same idea lol) edited...sorry its the chico keyfit !
i struggled over this as well..but what helped me the most besides baby bargains was going to the store and pretending to push the strollers around to see what i felt physically comfy with!

Re: strollers and car seats....
We are going with the Graco Snugride 35 and the City Mini. I did a ton of research and it took me a long time to decide on the car seat, the city mini was a no brainer for me. Make sure you take into consideration the fabric the car seat is made from. We originally registered for some sort of bear snug ride, it was all fleece lined and looked really cozy. After more research I came across many complaints of people saying it's just way too warm and their babies sweat. DD is due in May so this was something that could become an issue so we just went with a normal fabric Snug ride 35.

Good to hear. I am torn between the two. I have some gift cards from my shower and I want to buy the stroller soon.... Just don't know how to make my decision!
