How does everyone feel about the top 13 on Idol?
I was really surprised that they didn't give "white chocolate," I think his name is Adam, a second chance. I agreed with most of them...my FAVE is there, Phil, so it's all good! I also LOVE Colten (I think that's his name.)
As for the girls, I think Hollie is so good and I was happy they sent that Van Pelt girl through, she has a STRONG voice.
I think the competition this year is GREAT. Looking forward to the shows, but that's not surprising. Idol never gets old for me.

Hejun should NOT be there. Neither should the gentle giant. Nice guy but AWFUL voice. Hejun doesn't deserve to be there IMO. He doesn't have a great voice, sounds like a lounge singer IMO, and isn't serious and could never win. There were much better singers than him, who were let go. I can't stand when they do stuff like that (put him through based on personality mostly). Jimmy Iovine (who looks sickly btw) said it right about Hejun not belonging there.
I also don't think Deandre belongs there. Nice guy, interesting look, but not a good enough singer. Don't know her name but I think the tall girl is AWFUL, reminds me of a beauty pageant contestant singing at a pageant.
In the end, I think Mantasia is the best, also that Elyse girl is great.

I loved Hollie (little blonde girl) I thought her voice was amazing. I liked the guy who sang with the guitar ( the first of the top 10 to get in).
I was so upset they gave Brielle a 2nd chance but so happy they did not like her or choose her. I could not stand her.
Deandre? (is that his name) the one with the curly long hair, I don't think he should be there. He sounds like a girl. I can't stand it.
I agreed more with America than the judges choices this year. I feel they left A LOT of talent on that that couch to go home.

i only watched a few portions, and i don't know who made it, but from what i saw, i didn't love anybody, and only liked-a little-a few.

So excited about Phil Phillips!! He's my favorite by far He will make it whether he wins AI or not.
That said I think Jessica is going to go straight to the end. That girl is a powerhouse and we haven't had a female winner in some years.
Although, Erica can give her a run for her money IMO.
I can't stand Mantasia! I despise the sound of Fantasia, so there is no way I would think the "male" version is any better.
They don't sing! They scream and screech all through the song. Sorry thats not talent. I'd rather endure that Brielle chick for a few weeks than listen to "Mantasia".

I feel like the judges let a lot of talent GO in Hollywood week.
There were more people who made in through in the top 24 that I wanted to go home than have make it through to the Top 10.

I am pretty happy with the Top 13. The only person I am slightly disappointed in not making it was Jen Hirsch. She did SO well during auditions, but just fell a little flat both times on the stage.
Favorites for me are Phil, Elise, Hollie and Jeremy.

I was pretty content with the top 13, with the exception of Deandre. I don't think he deserves to be there. He was awful on Tuesday. I think either Jen or Reid should have been there instead. Reid is weird, but very talented, and at least different and interesting.
I happen to love Hee Jun. I think he has a beautiful voice. He's not going to win, but he is talented. I also really like Jermaine, Colton, Erica, Jessica, and Jeremy.

Hee Jun is okay - funny. But probably not top 10. Gentle Giant guy...nice guy...good voice, but no way should he be in the top 10.
Not sure what his name is, but the wild card JLo sent through...the big guy who was in tears. I don't think he has a good voice. I would have rathered the 'skat' guy go through. He was at least interesting.

I love Hejun! He is hilarious & I think he's got a great voice.
I don't care much for most of the top 13, but I think the girls are better than the guys this season by far... there are 3 or 4 girls who I could see winning the whole thing.

Totally agree!
DH thinks Deandre (sp?) looks like Milli Vanilli I think here were other singers who are much better than a few who were selected.
