I was made fun of a lot growing up for various reasons. It was pretty awful at times but once I got.to high school I stuck with my small group of friends and fell under the radar and was fine. Middle school was a nightmare though!

I was teased, tormented, picked on, excluded, bullied, you name it! I'm actually surprised it didn't permanently affect me, but honestly I don't feel like I have any baggage from it (outside of the fact that I would NEVER stand for either of my children ever doing this to other kids). The past is the past, and living well really is the best revenge

I was bullied in Jr high and then I turned around and bullied the bullies in HS

Yes vey badly. The school did nothing about it. I'm glad they take some responsibility now.

wow its so sad how many of us have experienced bulling or being made fun of. I had it bad too. Grew up in a family of 9 kids and didnt have a lot so I was picked on constantly as young kid then all through out jr & high school. I was taller, bigger then other kids, had coke bottle glasses and hand me downs. I had a small group of friends that I still talk to today. Not matter who bad other kids treated me I always has confidence in myself and I think that made them more mean.
Im def a stronger person b/c of these experiences and I teach my own children how to respect ppl no matter what they look like, what they are wearing or if they are any way different from themselves. I would be heartbroken if I knew my child was making another person feel bad about who they are. Ok my speech is over..

i was picked on for being either too brown for white people, or too white for brown people.
and it still bothers me that this bothers people so much :(

Yes I was bullied. Unfortunately it left some long lasting scars and self esteem damage. I have self image issues and very low self image. I still suffer the effects of it.

I was bullied by one kid from about 4th grade to 11th grade. It was always about my weight and I was not a fat girl. I was pretty average. Fast forward to my 2nd year in college when I started running and lost about 25lbs. I ran into him at a bar. He had the nerve to come up to me with a buddy and ask for my number. He told me I looked amazing and I told him he was a d@ck. I found him recently on FB and I blow his gf away!(not to toot my own horn)

I was bullied when I changed districts in elementary school by 3 girls in my class. It was pretty rough being the new kid that year.

Mostly I did not bully, but I did have a friend who was harassing this girl who was a common target. One day she got the rest of us all riled up, and I did participate in ganging up on her. I'm not proud.

She requested me on FB tho, which I find odd.

I am saying this now after so many years we haven't even talked but I was always bullied by my sister she was my birth sister we were adopted into different families. She would tell me I was a horrible mom when I was a kid she ruined my birthday by calling my friends and saying i canceled my sweet 16 party. She told others I was crazy and shot up heroin and i had to buy her smokes with my money. My father died in 2-4-2010 she has never talked to me since oh well her loss

Same here I was bullied from the time I was in 3rd grade until I graduated high school. I was always the fat girl. But I never bothered anyone and I was teased mercilessly.

The kids in my class KNOW that bullying does NOT fly in my classroom...as a matter of fact, i make their life a living hell if they EVER EVEN TRY to make someone feel inferior. There was a girl in my class who was teasing a boy in my class because of his weight. I told her that she had a choice...apologize IMMEDIATELY by writing a heartfelt letter to him and asking him for his forgiveness...or, she'd be sitting alone, working alone, and eating lunch alone, so she could know how he was feeling.

She made it two days in "isolation" before she wrote him a really nice letter and asked him to forgive her.

I was picked on in elemntary school. I had a bad acne problem for awhile, and was called everything to pizza face zit face

I was never really bullied. I was too busy protecting my brother. He is 2 years older than me and physically handicapped. The amount of bullying that went on with him makes me sick to this day. He had to wear leg braces which caused him to limp a little bit. He was called penguin and was pushed around all the time. He was once cornered in a school yard and was kicked to the ground (in his knee) and the 3 boys shoved leaves down his throat. I became a bully to protect him. I bullied the kids that would bully him and put them in their place with my mouth and words. I made a few cry, I felt like it was my responsibility because they were starting with my brother and he never protected himself. It still happens and we are both in our 30s. I would never start with someone unless they started with him.
