Loved The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe and the entire Narnie series...still do.
Where the Red Fern Grows was my favorite book, and though I haven't read it in many years, I still love it and hope to share it with my kids one day.

I loved Anne of Green Gables and still love it today. I hope to share it with my daughter one day.
Also Charlotte's Web is a wonderful book for children, but E.B. White's writing is truly beautiful for all ages.

Anne of Green Gables series Emily of New Moon series (Pretty much anything by LM Montgomery) A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Lily The Face on the Milk Carton
There are tons more, but these are the ones I really remember.
I've read everything again as an adult and everything except the Face on the Milk Carton stands the test of time.

I have loved The Three Musketeers and Count Monte Christo since I was 11 years old I I still adore those books and re-read them every couple of years.

Re: What were your favorite books when you were younger and do you still like them?
I actually wasn't a big reader as a kid. I guess I didn't realize there were more books out there than the ones that your school makes you read.
I did really like the Goosebumps series. I also loved all things horse related so there was a series of books by Marguerite Henry about wild horses. The first book was called "Misty of Chincoteague". I loooooooooved this series. I actually kind of forgot it existed until this post! Maybe I'll re-read them! My mom would love that. lol! A few other faves were The Outsiders, Go Ask Alice, Black Beauty, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
ETA: Loved Charlotte's Web, too! I actually wasn't a big fan of Nancy Drew. Strange, right?!

I love The Giver by Lois Lowry. I have reread it multiple times and love it every time.
When I was really little, I loved The Babysitters Club, Girl Talk, and The American Girl series - now, not so much.

Re: What were your favorite books when you were younger and do you still like them?
The Giver is one of my all time favorite books.
Mr Popper's Penguins was the first 'big' book I read on my own, and now has a special place in my heart (and on my bookshelf).
Another one of my favorite books, The Monster at the End of This Book, was also one of DH's, and we now have that, the sequal, and both as iPod/iPhone Apps for DS.

Re: What were your favorite books when you were younger and do you still like them?
Read every Nancy Drew.
The Indian in the Cupboard series (great young fantasy--movie was meh)
The Dark is Rising Series (great young fantasy--they made a movie of the first one, but it was bad)
So You Want to be A Wizard series
Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels - hysterical
I loved all these and haven't reread any of them. After rereading a few others that were my favorites back in the day and feeling differently this time around, I will leave these as fond memories unless my children want to read them with me at some point.

Re: What were your favorite books when you were younger and do you still like them?
different books associated with different stages of my younger years. here's what i associate with various ages:
starting reallly really young- i loved all the golden books. poky little puppy was my fave. i loved to go to the bookstore and remember picking those out.
then, my first real love in books, sweet valley high. i read crash landing in hard cover (pink) in 2nd grade and it's the first book i really remember picking out and reading. my dad got a pamphlet for a books club and asked if i wanted any. i picked that one out, and that's where my real life long love of books developed. again, i LOVED going to the bookstore and getting the next one to come out. i remember the exact bookstore i used to go to and exactly where those books were. i bought the collection off ebay years ago, for my future daughter/s, before i was even with dh.
nancy drew babysitter's club a wrinkle in time
then starting in 7th grade, i got into mysteries. i loved mary higgins clark. i read 10 books in 10 days on a family vacation between 7th and 8th grade. JOhn Saul, too. there were some others that stand out, but i don't remember the names.
In 8th grade-- a catcher in the rye stands out.
high school- a tree grows in brooklyn, pride and prejudice, of mice and men
eta- some more--probably from H.S years- to kill a mockingbird, call of the wild
