Lindenhurst Train Station
I am moving to lindenhurst soon. How do I get a parking pass? (my house isn't in the village if that makes a difference) How is the parking? I will be taking a train between 6:30-7am. Thanks!

Re: Lindenhurst Train Station
I live 2 blocks away...to be honest I dont know how to get a pass, Im assuming the town hall which is on Wellwood South, right past the 711 and all the stores...the parking does seem to get pretty full but i thought i remember the back part still having spots left , I will look though tomorrow morning to see if it totally full or if there are spots left. I have a feeling though at that time, you will definatley be able to get a spot.
Welcome to Lindenhurst! I moved in, in June and absolutely LOVE it!

Re: Lindenhurst Train Station
I don't know anything about this station, but live in Amity Harbor and when I need to take the LIRR, go out of Copiague.
There's always a TON of free parking under the tracks west of Great Neck Rd.
Depending where you live in Lindenhurst, this could be a feasible option as well.

There is a lottery for people that do not live in the village. I think you can call the village hall to see if any are available. If you get the pass parking will be very easy, the lots haven't been full for a long time.
Otherwise I think you can park under the train across Wellwood (a bit of a walk) or on one of the side streets across Hoffman.
Welcome to Lindenhurst!

Welcome to Lindy! Like a pp said, you can get the pass at the Village Hall. Didn't even know this until recently but you can even get one-two day passes there too!

Re: Lindenhurst Train Station
hey! you can get the permit at Village Hall on Wellwood Avenue. You are out of the village so you will have to get a non resident permit. I think its like 150 for the year.
You can also park on the side streets down the block from Duffys Winghouse and the Post Office (off Hoffman).
There are alot of trains at that time. where are you going into?
Between 630 and 7 there are some trains.
There is a 630 to Penn (skips Jamaica) A 647 thats an express to Penn with stops in Jamaica and Woodside.
If you have any other questions, let me know! Welcome to Lindy!

Re: Lindenhurst Train Station
My friend lives in Lindy, south of Montauk by the water. He drives to the Massapequa LIRR station and says parking there is better. Also going out of Mass is cheaper since its Zone 7 vs. Zone 9.

I called them a few months ago, they said there was about a 6 month waiting list for non-village residents.

Re: Lindenhurst Train Station
Also if you don't get a permit and park on the side streets watch the signs. My old street was no parking during the day.
