TOTALLY THIS!!!!! DH and I had an amazing time here and REALLY want to go back this summer...I'm hoping it's in the financial cards!

I also went to one of the Iberostar's and liked that one too.

We've stayed at the Now Larimar and Majestic Colonial - loved them both.

Re: Good All Inclusive in DR?

We stayed in the Junior Suite, ocean view... It was great my only suggestion is if you have an option ask for a room on the first floor... We found that our room on the second floor never really got cold enough for us because it had high ceilings. We were told that the first floor rooms are cooler because they don't have the high ceilings... (this was my husbands only complaint because he loves it cold) Other than that it was great... private beach that always had chairs available, huge pool with swim up bar, and it truly was all-inclusive... Everything was included!! We chose to go there because I felt guilty I wasn't taking my ds with us and I knew that I wouldn't have to see any other kids there to make me feel worse!!! Good luck and have fun if you decide to go!!!

I stayed at an Iberostar resort in DR (puerta plata). I thought it was nice and not too expensive.

Re: Good All Inclusive in DR?

We had a junior suite walkout...we would walk out our back door, take 10 steps and be in the pool! We had a hammock and little patio area where we would eat lunch that we ordered from room service. Waiters would walk by, stop to talk to us and take our drink order.

OMG, it was amazing and you are totally making me want to go back! I have to say that I've been on tons of vacations and this was by far my favorite, most relaxing vacation EVER!

Re: Good All Inclusive in DR?

DH and I loved Excellence. We only had the standard room and it was perfectly fine. We have compared every other all inclusive vacay we have been on to there, and nothing has ever lived up to it.

Re: Good All Inclusive in DR?

in 2003 I stayed at the Caribe Club Princess Beach Resort & Spa in punta cana and had a good time -- best fruit ever (but again so many years ago don't know what it's like now)

The place i stayed in puerto plata closed down -- but I LOVED punta cana so much better

Re: Good All Inclusive in DR?

We're heading to Excellence Punta Cana in 3 weeks for our 2 year wedding anniversary. We've only got the standard room, but I'll definitely post a review when we get back!
