How do you give gripe water?
Before a bottle? After a bottle? Every bottle? Only when fussy? Is there a max amount in a day?
Thank you!

I use to put it in his bottle before I started to feed him. It worked fine.

After her bottle and put it in one of those medicine dispenser with a pacifier top. Would give it like 3-4 times a day and stopped around 4-5 mos

Re: How do you give gripe water?
Just wondering.. how come you all are giving it that often? I gave it to my DS once or twice when he was hiccuping and gassy. Does it help with digestion/something I don't know?

I give it strait up when he gets bad hiccups. Works like a charm 95% of the time!

Re: How do you give gripe water?
We give it to the twins for hicups and when they are really colicy. We draw it up and squirt into a nipple or small medela bottle if we are ding a full dose.
We were putting it in the last bottle of the night just for good measure but i think it was all in our heads and didnt make them sleep any better o worse

Re: How do you give gripe water?
you can give it with a syringe, before or after, and you don't have to worry so much about how often you give it. it's simply fennel, sodium bicarbonate, and some preps have chamomile in it. and of course water. so it's pretty safe to use. it's good at settling the stomach, helping with has, etc. just look at the bottle, because some require refridgeration once it's opened.
