Tile steam cleaning

Has anyone ever had this done? We got an estimate from stanley steamer and it was $$$$ i'm wondering if I can just buy a steamer or if I need a professional. Any thoughts? it's a new house but the tiles are really dirty-the grout is black. TIA!

we have had stanley steamer come a few times. its was so worth it the money it looked amazing! I think the equpiment they use is use is so much stronger than any steammop you can buy..

I just had it done Friday for my bathroom and I was disappointed. I do have to say the tiles are from 1956.... in my case the original grout color was black and at some point they grouted over the black with white so when they came, the white grout came up and now I have a mixture of white and black grout.
